I’ve spent over 20 years helping experts, consultants, and organizations choose and build on online course platforms and choosing the wrong software is one of the most common and costly mistakes I see people make.
Not because the platforms are bad. Most of them are decent.
But because “decent” means very different things depending on where you are in your business, what you’re selling, and how much complexity you can actually handle right now.
This is why I’ve developed this tool based on all my experiences.
It asks you 7 questions about your situation and gives you my honest recommendation, the same kind of thinking I’d walk a client through before pointing them at any platform.
It takes about two minutes.

A few things worth knowing before you commit to any platform:
First, no platform decision is permanent. Most creators switch at least once as their business grows.
That’s normal.
But migrations are expensive in time and energy, so getting it right the first time matters.
Second, the features that get marketed hardest are rarely the ones that matter most. What matters is whether the platform reliably delivers your content, processes payments without friction, and doesn’t create technical headaches that pull you away from the work only you can do.
Third, price is not the same as cost.
A platform with a low monthly fee but a 10% transaction fee will often cost you more than a $74/month plan with no fees once you have any real sales volume. Always do the math based on your expected revenue, not just the headline price.
If you want to go deeper on any of the platforms in your results, I’ve written a detailed comparison of the best course platforms based on real usage.
And if you have a question about your specific situation that the tool didn’t answer, drop it in the comments. I read everything.
