TL;DR: iSpring LMS Review (2026)
iSpring LMS, formerly iSpring Learn, is a cloud LMS for training employees. Onboarding, compliance, on-the-job checklists, and reporting are where it shines, and every plan includes the iSpring Suite AI authoring tool. Selling courses to the public is a different story, since checkout runs through a Shopify integration and pricing starts at 100 active users.
Pricing: Business 100 $8,286/yr, Business 300 $16,050/yr, Business 500 $23,790/yr, all billed annually for active users only
Free trial: 30-day free trial, no credit card
Standout features:
– Automatic enrollment, recertification, and development plans
– On-the-job training checklists and 360° reviews
– AI course generator, AI translation into 70+ languages, and AI search in the Knowledge Base
– 24/7 live support from real people
Use iSpring LMS when: You train 100+ employees or deliver contracted training to a company’s staff.
Skip iSpring LMS when: You sell courses to individual buyers (pick Thinkific or LearnWorlds).

Picking an LMS is one of the most expensive decisions a training business makes. Get it wrong, and you spend a year moving courses, learners, and reports somewhere else.
I’ve evaluated learning platforms for a long time, first through the LMS research we published at Tagoras and now here at Learning Revolution. iSpring LMS keeps coming up in those conversations, usually from people who already use iSpring Suite and want everything under one roof.
In this iSpring LMS review, I explain what the platform does well, what it costs, and the one question that decides whether it fits you, which comes down to who your learners are.
If you sell training to clients, here are the best LMS platforms for selling courses

My Quick Verdict on iSpring LMS
iSpring LMS is a strong, well-supported LMS for internal training, and the bundled authoring tool makes it better value than it first looks. Course sellers should skip it, since the 100-user starting band and Shopify-only checkout work against a small business selling to individuals.
| Category | Rating | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Employee training | 4.7/5 | Automation, on-the-job training, and development plans in one place |
| Course creation | 4.5/5 | Browser course builder, AI generator, and iSpring Suite AI included |
| Selling courses | 2.5/5 | Shopify only, with no sales pages, coupons, or bundles inside the LMS |
| Pricing for small teams | 3/5 | Starts at $8,286 a year, and smaller teams must ask for a quote |
| Support | 4.8/5 | 24/7 live support with real people, rated 4.8 on Capterra |
| Overall | 4.2/5 | Excellent for staff training, a poor fit for selling to the public |
What Is iSpring LMS?

iSpring LMS is a cloud learning management system for companies that train their own people. Admins upload courses, assign them to employees, track who finished, and pull reports. The platform also covers onboarding plans, compliance renewals, on-the-job checklists, performance reviews, and a company knowledge base.
iSpring Solutions makes it, the same company behind iSpring Suite. iSpring called the product iSpring Learn until October 2025, then renamed it iSpring LMS. Logins, data, and links stayed the same, so existing customers didn’t need to do anything.
Who it’s for: HR and L&D teams at companies with 100 or more employees, plus training providers who deliver courses to a client’s staff under contract.
Who it’s not for: Coaches, solopreneurs, and course creators who sell courses one buyer at a time. iSpring LMS has no built-in sales pages or checkout.
Compared with TalentLMS, iSpring LMS goes deeper on onboarding, on-the-job training, and employee development, but costs more for small teams. Compared with LearnWorlds, it’s a training tool for staff, not a storefront for selling courses. Any authoring tool that exports SCORM, xAPI, or AICC works with it too.
Main Features in iSpring LMS
Here are the features that matter most when you run training at scale.
- Training automation: Enroll people by role or department, send reminders, and reassign courses before certificates expire.
- Course builder: Create scrollable courses, quizzes, and learning tracks right in the browser.
- AI course generator: Upload your files or describe a topic, and AI drafts a structured course.
- iSpring Suite AI included: Build PowerPoint-based courses, role-plays, and video lessons with the bundled authoring tool.
- On-the-job training: Let managers score real tasks with observation checklists, across several visits if needed.
- 360° reviews and development plans: Map skills, run feedback rounds, and give each person a growth plan.
- Knowledge Base with AI search: Employees ask questions in plain language and get answers with links to the source.
- Reports: Track completions, scores, and certificates with templates and scheduled reports.
- Mobile apps: Learners study on iOS or Android, even offline.
- Course libraries: Add ready-made courses from iSpring, Udemy, Go1, LinkedIn Learning, and GoodHabitz.
iSpring Learn vs iSpring LMS: What Changed?
Nothing changed for existing accounts except the name. iSpring renamed iSpring Learn to iSpring LMS on October 22, 2025, and moved the product to ispring.com.
The product itself kept growing after the rename. Since then, iSpring has added the AI course generator, AI image generation, AI search in the Knowledge Base, drag-and-drop quiz questions, CPE point tracking, automatic development plans, and local hosting in Australia and New Zealand. So if you read an older iSpring Learn review, most of its feature list is out of date.
If you train your own team, here are my picks for the best LMS for small businesses
Who Is iSpring LMS For, and Who Is It Not For?
| iSpring LMS is for | iSpring LMS is not for |
|---|---|
| Companies with 100+ employees that need onboarding and compliance training | Coaches and solopreneurs selling courses to individuals |
| Training providers delivering contracted courses to a client’s staff | Creators who want sales pages, coupons, and upsells built in |
| Franchises, retail, and field teams that need on-the-job checklists | Teams under 50 people watching every dollar |
| Regulated industries tracking certificates and CPE points | Anyone who needs communities, memberships, or coaching tools |
| Teams that already build courses in iSpring Suite | Businesses that want a free plan to start |
iSpring LMS is one of the best-value platforms for training employees, and one of the worst fits for selling courses to the public. If your buyer is a company paying for its people, it deserves a demo. If your buyer is an individual paying with a credit card, look at a course platform instead.
iSpring LMS Pricing and Free Trial
iSpring LMS has no free plan, but the 30-day free trial, no credit card includes the full platform. Paid plans bill annually in bands of 100, 300, and 500 users, and anything bigger moves to Enterprise.
iSpring LMS pricing plans:
| Plan | Billed annually (per year) | Key limits |
|---|---|---|
| Business 100 | $8,286 | Up to 100 active users, $6.91 per user a month |
| Business 300 | $16,050 | Up to 300 active users, $4.46 per user a month |
| Business 500 | $23,790 | Up to 500 active users, $3.97 per user a month |
| Enterprise | Custom | Custom, up to 150,000 users |

- Business 300: The same features for up to 300 active users, about $4.46 per user a month.
- Business 500: The same features for up to 500 active users, about $3.97 per user a month.
- Enterprise: Custom pricing for larger organizations, up to 150,000 users.
All plans share the same features. The only thing you pay more for is people, and iSpring counts only active users. Anyone who logs in at least once in a month counts for that month, while invited people who never log in cost nothing.
Active-user billing works well for seasonal training. A retailer that onboards 300 holiday hires in November pays for them while they train, not all year.
Four other details matter before you sign.
- Under 100 users: iSpring prices smaller accounts on request, so get a quote before you assume the Business 100 price applies.
- No discounts: iSpring offers no government, nonprofit, or academic discounts on LMS plans.
- Money-back guarantee: iSpring backs plans with a money-back guarantee, so ask sales for the exact terms in writing.
- Payment: Pay by credit card, PayPal, or wire transfer, and request an invoice if your finance team needs one.
What iSpring LMS Costs Compared With TalentLMS and LearnWorlds
Price per user looks low until you compare annual totals. Here’s what the entry option costs on each platform.
| Platform | Entry option for about 100 learners | Annual cost | What’s included |
|---|---|---|---|
| iSpring LMS | Business 100, up to 100 active users | $8,286 | Full LMS, iSpring Suite AI authoring, and 24/7 support |
| TalentLMS | Pro, up to 100 users | $449/mo billed annually | LMS with built-in course selling through Stripe or PayPal |
| LearnWorlds | Pro Trainer, up to 2,000 active learners | $79/mo billed annually | Course platform with sales pages, checkout, and a website builder |
For 100 employees, iSpring LMS costs more than TalentLMS but includes an authoring tool TalentLMS doesn’t have. For a course seller with 100 buyers, LearnWorlds costs a fraction of the price and handles the sale too. Run your own numbers through my course revenue calculator before you commit.

iSpring LMS Strengths and Weaknesses
Here are the strengths and weaknesses that show up once you run real training on iSpring LMS.
| Strengths | Weaknesses |
|---|---|
| iSpring Suite AI authoring tool included in every plan | Published pricing starts at 100 users |
| Pay only for users who log in each month | A single accidental login counts that person for the month |
| Strong onboarding, on-the-job training, and development plans | No built-in checkout, sales pages, or coupons |
| AI course generator, translation, and Knowledge Base search | AI drafts still need editing and real examples |
| 24/7 live support, rated 9.4 on G2 | No nonprofit, government, or academic discounts |
| Offline mobile apps for field and frontline staff | Reviewers say some settings are hard to find at first |
| Native links to Udemy, Go1, LinkedIn Learning, and GoodHabitz | Automatic system emails are hard to brand, per reviewers |
iSpring LMS Features | What Can You Do With It?
Below, I start with a summary table and then give my take on each feature, including where it falls short.
iSpring LMS Features at a Glance
| Feature | Description | Limitations |
|---|---|---|
| Course builder and AI generator | Scrollable courses, quizzes, and AI drafts from your files | Drafts need editing, and design options stay template-based |
| iSpring Suite AI authoring | PowerPoint-based authoring bundled with every plan | Windows and desktop PowerPoint only |
| Training automation | Auto-enrollment, learning tracks, and development plans | Rules take time to set up well |
| Compliance and certificates | Recertification, external certificates, and CPE points | Built for employers, not for selling credentials |
| On-the-job training | Observation checklists scored by managers | Managers need training to use it consistently |
| 360° reviews | Competency profiles and feedback rounds | More HR tool than course tool |
| Knowledge Base | Articles, files, and AI search | Internal use only |
| AI translation | Courses in 70+ languages with regional variants | Needs a native speaker review for high-stakes content |
| Reports | Templates, scheduled reports, and XLSX export | Quiz and practical results don’t always report automatically, per reviewers |
| Selling courses | Shopify integration that creates accounts after purchase | Courses and tracks only, and no library content |
| Mobile and corporate portal | Offline apps, newsfeed, and org chart | Portal features matter little outside a company |
| Integrations | HR, CRM, SSO, video calls, Zapier, and an API | Fewer marketing tools than course platforms |
Feature #1: Course Builder and AI Course Generator
The browser course builder creates scrollable lessons, which iSpring calls Pages, plus quizzes and full learning tracks. Pre-designed block templates arrived in January 2026, so a lesson layout takes minutes instead of an hour.
Since May 2026, the AI course generator can draft a structured course from your uploaded files or a short topic description. Other recent additions include AI-generated course images, drag-and-drop quiz questions, text-to-speech in scrollable courses, and gated chapters that stay locked until a learner passes a test.
I treat the AI generator as a fast first draft. AI can organize a policy manual into lessons, but your examples and judgment are what make people remember it.
Feature #2: iSpring Suite AI Authoring Tool Included
All iSpring LMS plans list the iSpring Suite AI authoring tool among their features. Bought alone, iSpring Suite AI costs $1,290 a year per author, so the bundle carries real value. Ask sales how many author seats your quote covers.
With Suite, you turn PowerPoint decks into interactive courses with role-plays, screen recordings, and quizzes, then publish them to the LMS in one click. The catch is that Suite runs only on Windows with desktop PowerPoint.

Feature #3: Training Automation and Development Plans
Automation is where iSpring LMS saves the most admin time. Import users, group them by department or role, and set rules that enroll new people automatically. Learners get reminders, and managers see who is behind.
Development plans combine courses, tasks, and on-the-job sessions in one path. Since August 2026, iSpring can assign those plans automatically to anyone who matches your rules, so every new sales rep gets the same onboarding from day one.
Feature #4: Compliance, Certificates, and CPE Tracking
For regulated work, the re-enrollment system watches certificate expiry dates and assigns refresher training before a certificate lapses. Employees can also upload certificates they earned elsewhere, so HR keeps one record.
Learning goals added in March 2026 track professional points for each role, and reserved points show how many points planned courses will add. Accounting, healthcare, and engineering firms that manage CPE or CE credits will get the most out of this.
Feature #5: On-the-Job Training
A course teaches knowledge, but on-the-job training shows whether people can do the work. Managers or mentors open an observation checklist, watch an employee perform a task, and score each step. Since September 2026, one session can hold several observations across different visits, with average scores and results by criteria.
Picture a restaurant group checking how new staff handle food safety on three shifts. Few LMSs at this price handle that well, and iSpring does it out of the box.
Feature #6: 360° Reviews and Competency Profiles
Competency profiles describe the skills each role needs. A 360° review then collects feedback from managers, peers, and the employee, and turns it into visual reports. Since July 2025, admins can customize review notifications, and reports show how scores change over time.
For a training business, 360° reviews matter less. For an HR team building a full people development program, they remove the need for a separate performance tool.
Feature #7: Knowledge Base With AI Search
The Knowledge Base holds articles, policies, and files that employees can search any time. Since September 2026, AI search reads across articles and uploaded PDF, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word files, then writes a clear answer with links to the sources.
Two other updates keep content tidy. Articles can sync with courses so you update information once, and pages and articles export to PDF. Frontline teams who need a quick answer mid-shift will use this more than any course.
Feature #8: AI Translation
The built-in AI translator localizes scrollable courses into more than 70 languages at no extra cost. In August 2026, iSpring added 27 more languages and support for regional variants, such as Canadian or Indian English and Simplified or Traditional Chinese.
NAOS Bioderma, an iSpring customer, says it trained more than 3,000 employees in 130 countries on the platform and cut travel costs by 75%. Multilingual teams like that benefit most, but keep a native speaker in the review loop for compliance content.
Feature #9: Reports and Analytics
Reports cover completions, quiz scores, certificates, and individual answers. Report templates and scheduled reports send the right numbers to managers without anyone exporting spreadsheets by hand, and XLSX export covers the rest.
A few reviewers on Capterra say quiz and practical assessment results don’t always land in reports automatically. Test the reports your auditors need during the trial.
Feature #10: Selling Courses Through Shopify
iSpring LMS doesn’t include a store. To sell courses, connect the iSpring LMS app to a Shopify store and sync your courses or learning tracks. When someone buys, iSpring creates their account and gives them access right away.
The integration works, but the limits are real. Only courses and learning tracks sync, you can’t sell library courses, and you need a paid Shopify plan on top of iSpring. On top of that, each buyer who logs in counts as an active user that month.
A training provider selling a compliance course to a few hundred employees of client companies can make this work. A coach selling a $199 course to strangers will pay far more and get far less than Thinkific or Teachable offer.
Feature #11: Mobile Apps and Corporate Portal
The iOS and Android apps let learners download courses and study offline, which helps warehouse, retail, and field teams with patchy internet, and progress syncs when the device reconnects.
The corporate portal adds a newsfeed, event announcements, an interactive org chart, and a Company section with divisions and contacts. Inside a company, these features help new hires settle in, but a training business serving outside learners will barely use them.
Feature #12: Integrations and Content Libraries
Native integrations cover the HR, sign-in, meeting, and content tools most companies already run.
- HR and CRM: BambooHR, OrangeHRM, PeopleWeek, and Salesforce.
- Sign-in: SSO through SAML 2.0, OpenID, or JWT, plus Microsoft Entra ID.
- Live training: Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, and CourseBoost.
- Content libraries: iSpring Course Library, Udemy, Go1, LinkedIn Learning, and GoodHabitz.
- Automation: Zapier, Albato, and a REST API for custom work.
New accounts also come preloaded with iSpring Academy courses on sales, productivity, compliance, and cybersecurity. A small company can launch training on day one without building anything.
Feature #13: Customer Support
Support is the strongest part of the iSpring experience. Live experts answer by phone and chat around the clock, and iSpring states that it doesn’t use bots. Larger customers also get a customer success manager to guide the rollout.
Reviewers back this up, rating support 4.8 out of 5 on Capterra and 9.4 out of 10 on G2. Good support matters more than most features during your first three months on any LMS.

How Companies and Training Businesses Use iSpring LMS
iSpring LMS fits organizations where someone else pays for the learner’s training. Here’s how that plays out.
- Employee onboarding: A 400-person retail chain assigns the same first-week plan to every new hire, with on-the-job checklists for store managers.
- Compliance training: A logistics company tracks safety certificates and reassigns refresher courses before they expire.
- Contracted client training: A consulting firm delivers a leadership program to a client’s managers and reports completions back to HR.
- Partner and dealer training: A manufacturer trains distributor staff on new products in their own languages.
- Professional development: An accounting firm tracks CPE points for each role and plans courses to hit the target.
In each case, the buyer is an organization, the learners are its people, and success means completions and better work, not course sales.
Should Course Creators Use iSpring LMS?
For most course creators, no. Course platforms like Thinkific, LearnWorlds, and Kajabi give you sales pages, checkout, coupons, email, and communities for a fraction of the price. iSpring LMS gives you none of that without Shopify.
The exception is a training business that sells to companies. If you sign contracts to train a client’s 150 employees, iSpring LMS handles the delivery, tracking, and reporting that HR managers expect. Pass the license cost on in your contract, and compare it with TalentLMS, which includes course selling and starts smaller.
iSpring LMS vs TalentLMS vs LearnWorlds
These three come up most often when training businesses shortlist an LMS. Here’s how they compare on the points that decide the choice.
| iSpring LMS | TalentLMS | LearnWorlds | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Built for | Employee training at companies | Employee and customer training | Selling courses online |
| Starting price | $8,286/yr for 100 users | $119/mo billed annually | $24/mo billed annually |
| Free option | 30-day free trial, no credit card | Free plan, no credit card | 30-day free trial, no credit card |
| Selling courses | Through Shopify | Built in, with Stripe or PayPal | Built in, with sales pages and funnels |
| Authoring tool | iSpring Suite AI included | Course builder with AI | Course builder with AI and interactive video |
| On-the-job training | Yes, with checklists | Limited | No |
| Branded client portals | Ask iSpring in the demo | Yes, through branches | Yes, through client groups on Learning Center |
| Best pick when | You train your own staff at scale | You train staff or customers on a smaller budget | You sell courses to individuals |
My rule of thumb is simple. Pick iSpring LMS for employee training, TalentLMS for mixed staff and customer training on a budget, and LearnWorlds for selling courses.
iSpring LMS Alternatives
If iSpring LMS isn’t the right fit, here’s where I’d look next.
| Tool | Starting price | Where it’s better | Where iSpring LMS is better |
|---|---|---|---|
| TalentLMS | Free plan, no credit card, paid from $119/mo billed annually | Free plan, built-in course selling, and smaller plans | Included authoring tool and deeper on-the-job training |
| LearnWorlds | $24/mo billed annually | Sales pages, checkout, and selling to individuals | Employee onboarding, compliance, and development plans |
| Thinkific | $40/mo billed annually | Simple course selling for creators and coaches | Corporate training automation and reporting |
| LearnUpon | Quote only, around $900 to $1,350 a month | Customer and partner training with multiple portals | Lower price and an included authoring tool |
| isEazy LMS | €350/mo billed annually | Built-in games and a browser authoring tool | On-the-job training, support, and course libraries |
For a wider list, see my guides to the best LMS for small businesses and the best LMS for selling courses. If you’re new to the category, start with my explainer on what an LMS is.
Is iSpring LMS Worth It?
Overall I recommend iSpring LMS for companies with 100 or more employees and for training providers who deliver contracted training to a client’s staff. Automation, on-the-job training, AI tools, and 24/7 support make it one of the most complete employee training platforms at its price, and the bundled iSpring Suite AI adds real value.
Skip it if you sell courses to individual buyers. The 100-user starting band, active-user billing, and Shopify-only checkout all work against a coach or solopreneur. In that case, a course platform like LearnWorlds or Thinkific will cost less and sell better.
If your buyers are companies, start the 30-day free trial, no credit card with one real onboarding or compliance course, and invite a manager to test the reports.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Here are answers to the questions people ask me most often about iSpring LMS.
Is iSpring Learn the same as iSpring LMS?
Yes. iSpring renamed iSpring Learn to iSpring LMS on October 22, 2025. Logins, courses, data, links, and integrations all stayed the same, so existing customers didn’t need to change anything. The product kept its features and has since added AI course generation, AI search, and more.
How much does iSpring LMS cost?
iSpring LMS costs $8,286 a year for up to 100 active users, $16,050 for 300, and $23,790 for 500, all billed annually, or $6.91, $4.46, and $3.97 per user a month. Enterprise pricing is custom, and smaller teams get pricing on request.
Does iSpring LMS have a free trial?
Yes. iSpring LMS offers a 30-day free trial with no credit card required. The trial includes the full platform, so you can build a course, invite test learners, and check reports. iSpring has no free plan, and it backs paid plans with a money-back guarantee.
Can I sell courses with iSpring LMS?
Yes, but only through its Shopify integration. Shoppers buy a course in your Shopify store, and iSpring LMS creates their account and grants access. The integration sells only courses and learning tracks, and every buyer who logs in counts as an active user that month.
Is iSpring Suite included with iSpring LMS?
Yes. All iSpring LMS plans list the iSpring Suite AI authoring tool among their features, which costs $1,290 a year per author on its own. Ask iSpring sales how many author seats your plan includes. iSpring Suite runs only on Windows with desktop PowerPoint.
Is iSpring LMS better than TalentLMS?
For employee training at 100+ users, iSpring LMS offers deeper onboarding, on-the-job training, and an included authoring tool. TalentLMS wins for smaller teams and course sellers, with a free plan, cheaper starting plans, and built-in checkout through Stripe or PayPal. Choose based on team size and buyers.
